We are thrilled to highlight the longstanding collaboration between Feed the Hungry San Miguel and NGO Amistad Canada. Since 2012, this partnership has been instrumental in uniting people to promote giving to deserving health and education projects in Mexico.
The partnership between Feed the Hungry San Miguel and Amistad Canada has transcended boundaries and made a significant impact in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende. We are immensely proud to have been selected by this caring organization, and the support we receive from them has been invaluable.
One of the most remarkable initiatives that has emerged from our collaboration is the School Lunch Meals program. What started in 2012 with the sponsorship of one kitchen has now expanded to five kitchens, thanks to the continued support of Amistad Canada. Through their generous contributions, they sponsor the food required to provide nutritious meals to kinder and elementary school children in our community.
Additionally, our partnership extends beyond financial support. During the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Feed the Hungry San Miguel and Amistad Canada joined forces to set up online fundraising campaigns, leveraging the power of technology to continue our mission of feeding those in need. Together, we have successfully raised funds and garnered widespread support, ensuring that our programs could continue to make a difference among 20,000 Sanmiguelenses.
In the past six months alone, Amistad Canada has played a crucial role in helping us provide daily lunch meals to 324 children enrolled in our program. This is a testament to the dedication and commitment of both organizations to alleviate hunger and improve the lives of underprivileged children in San Miguel de Allende.
Canadian citizens can contribute to our School Lunch Meals program and receive a Canadian tax deduction in return. This significant step allows our Canadian friends to deepen their support for our work, making a direct and lasting impact on the lives of the children we serve.
