During the 2023-2024 school year, more than 915,000 school meals were served to nearly 5,000 children through the School Meals Program. These wholesome and balanced meals not only increase class attendance, they help the students stay alert during lessons and empower them to reach their full potential.

The Early Childhood Nutrition program, which provides sustenance for children who have been weaned but are not yet in school, is now active in 15 communities and will be extended to 5 more. The Extended Alimentation Program, which provides food for specific families who present cases of severe malnutrition, is active in 8 communities and will be extended to 2 more. In addition, the Student Hydration Program expanded to deliver purified water to 24 communities where water is contaminated or in short supply.

Feed the Hungry, A.C. was awarded for institutional transparency, optimum level, by the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía Cemefi. This prestigious recognition was given to 67 civil society organizations on October 25.

Our dedication to fiduciary responsibility drives every decision we make. Inflation requires that we stretch every peso more than ever, and we have made some significant changes this year to boost efficiency. As our new head of Finance, Veronica Olvera’s expertise has already led to a 25% reduction in operating costs. New accounting and inventory systems are enabling better resource tracking, and updated operational and financial policies are in place to uphold the highest standards of accountability and resource management.
