Through a cooperative program with Patronato Pro-Niños, a local non-profit, and funded by a common donor, dental care and hygiene is provided by a dental van that visits the rural villages where Feed the Hungry San Miguel has school-kitchens. Children are the priority, but adults are also eligible.
English Classes and Scholarships
In the community of Los Ricos a corps of volunteer teachers from the USA and Canada, under the direction of a former Feed the Hungry San Miguel Trustee, conduct English classes for children and adults, have built a school library, funded a dining hall at the school, and provide the children with scholarships and encourage continued education.
